The excellent organization called Human Rights Watch is asking bloggers to help "prevent discrimination, uphold political freedom, protect people from inhumane treatment in wartime, and campaign to bring offenders to justice."
I trust this will annoy the pro-torture community.
Bonus: Human Rights Watch RSS feeds.
I have already been blogging about human rights issues for some time, and I think it is nice that HRW is recognizing the contribution that the Blogosphere has the potential to give to their efforts. HRW has a lot of credibility in international circles, and if this exchange with the bloggers could become a two-way discussion (where bloggers are also sharing information) I think this could be an excellent development.
Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the blogosphere Dan.
