Do you have a preference between web-based aggregators like BlogLines vs those that sit on your machine?

I like Bloglines for its ability to sync with any kind of device, including my mobile phone, but on the computer it's nice to have the flexibility you get from a job-specific application.

would be great if it worked with older Mac os,
7.5 and up, but not osx level.
