I'm waiting for a major newspaper to recognize the power of "the reader" to make their product better, in the ways that Josh Marshall is using his readers to cover substantive issues. Part of the problem is there seems to be less and less commitment on the part of media to provide in-depth long-term coverage of substantive issues, in effect ceding the field to Marshall and others.
