Dan ... I'm jealous. I've always wanted to meet Meyers. I am, however, going to do a web panel with him and in preparation have been reading the Vanishing Newspaper and blogging it chapter by chapter. Take a look. Here's the latest one.

Cheers,

Tim

I was fortunate enough to take the very first class Meyer ever taught on using online information sources. This would have been about 1989, and Meyer taught the class in conjunction with a professor from the school of library science at UNC.

A very odd mixture: the class consisted of future librarians who wanted to build lists of reference materials and future reporters who wanted to try to link Texas politicians to the Savings and Loan scandal. Talk about culture shock.

Enjoy the session with Meyer. He's a visionary.

North Carolina sure is New Media Central this week. Wish I was there too.

Dan - Enjoyed your comments today and the opportunity to meet you. My invitation for you to visit Atlanta is sincere and I hope you will fit us into your schedule. There are many here who would enjoy and benefit from your reinforcement of the changes that are taking place.

Thanks - Mike Adkinson
